Opening your life to God’s Word on a consistent basis over a long period of time will slowly but surely begin to shape your thoughts, perspective, attitudes, and actions. You will start out just reading God’s Word and it will eventually begin to read you! God’s truth will challenge you and help you to see as God sees! Watch how God’s perspective will begin to influence you in ways you never imagined! Stick with the plan! Open your heart to God and He will transform you from the inside out!

When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. Revelation 8:1
Up to this point in John’s vision in the book of Revelation, he has heard God’s Word of truth to the churches. Starting in Chapter 4, things change. John sees in this vision a doorway opening into heaven. Over the next several chapters, John experiences the glorious sounds of heavenly beings worshiping God. And then in Chapter 8:1, there is complete silence in heaven. This is not the absence of words but the complete and utter speechlessness of creation that stands before a holy and perfect God in complete awe of His majesty.
Today, instead of talking to God, simply listen. Stand in His presence…..shut down the volume of this world…and be humbled in complete and utter silence. Come before the One for whom you have no excuses, no boasts, no pretensions. Listen for what He might say in this place of stillness and silence before Him.
