Karl Lackey
Karl calls worship “his heartbeat,” and you’ll know it is when you feel the phenomenal energy he brings to the worship experience. As he says, “I want people to experience what it is to worship with abandon and praise extravagantly. Hopefully people will see a glimpse of the grace of Christ through each of us as we live our lives as an act of worship. Most of all, I want to see people meet Jesus and learn to walk with Him.”
Karl graduated from Nashville’s Belmont University where he studied Commercial vocal production and Music Business. He’s been leading worship for years since as both an ‘up-front’ leader and as a writer/producer/director. His career has taken him from Nashville to New York; from New York to L.A., and now to Florida. He has worked with some of Christian music’s top artists and served as a Warner Brothers writer and artist while in Los Angeles.
Karl refers to his wife, Callie as the “coolest girl in the whole world;” and their 4 year old daughter, Caia-Jolie, as “the smoothest little rock star ever.” They’ve been married 6 years and hope to soon add an adopted son to their family.
